Operation Guide for Rebar Bending Machine
1. Equipment Inspection & Preparation
- Mechanical Performance Check
Ensure the rebar bending machine is in good working conditionand the workbench and machine table are level.
- Mandrel Tool Preparation
Prepare suitable mandrels, forming shafts, stop iron shafts or adjustable stops according to the rebar diameter and machine requirements.
The mandrel diameter is typically 2.5 times the diameter of the rebar.
- Safety Inspection
Check that the mandrel, stops, turntable, and other components are free of damage or cracks, and that safety guards are securely fastened.
Run the machine empty to confirm normal operation before starting work.
2. Operating Procedures
Installation & Fixing
- Mount the rebar bending machine on the edge of the workbench, with the operating handle extended outside the table, and fix it with three M8 screws.
- Select the gear according to rebar diameter:

- Fast gear: rebar diameter ≤ 18 mm
- Medium gear: 18–24 mm
- Slow gear: ≥ 25 mm
Rebar Fixing & Bending
- Insert the end of the rebar to be bent into the slot on the turntable, and press the other end firmly against the machine body.
- Start the machine only after confirming that the fixed stop is correctly positioned against the rebar.
- Bend rebar at a steady speed to avoid overloading.
Precautions
- Do not change mandrels, adjust angles, change speeds, add lubricant, or clean the machine while it is in operation.
- When bending high‑strength or low‑alloy rebar, follow the maximum diameter specified on the machine nameplate and use the corresponding mandrel.
- Standing is prohibited within the bending radius and on the non‑fixed side of the machine.
- Always stop the turntable completely before reversing direction.
3. Maintenance
- Routine Inspection
Regularly check all components, gear matching, and lubrication condition.
- Lubrication
Frequently lubricate oil cups and sliding parts to maintain good lubrication.
- Site Cleanup
After the operation, clean the site, perform machine maintenance, disconnect power, and lock the electrical box.
4. Safety Operation Rules
- Grounding Protection
The machine body must be reliably grounded. Power supply shall be controlled by an iron‑clad switch, not directly connected to buttons.
- Personal Protection
Wear safety goggles when bending unstraightened or rusty rebar.
- Specialized Supervision
Assign a dedicated person to supervise the working area. No one is allowed inside the turntable’s rotating range.
- Prohibited Operations
Do not bend rebar exceeding the diameter limit on the nameplate, or bend lifting hooks for slings.
